Crafty Monday: Batiks on Black

Okay okay, I don't hate batiks, but I certainly wouldn't want to go to dinner and a movie with them. They are okay, but I don't think I want to be seen in public with them, so this post is a secret. Shhhh!

Jennifer Ofenstein, of the oh-so-fabulous Sewhooked.org, is hosting a quilt block drawing that utilizes batik fabrics. It is called the Batiks on Black drawing, and it is quite exciting. For each paper pieced block you make, you get one entry in the drawing (unless you use a Sewhooked block, then you get two entries, and if you add it to the flickr group you get three!!). Click the graphic below to read all of the information and rules about this awesome project!

Once I decided to take a part in it, I went a little crazy. Below are four of the blocks I made for it, but if you want to see the rest of them click here.

Batik Fairy Batik Snail
Batik Deathly Hallows Symbol Batik Arrow

I hope to see more blocks entered into the drawing as the deadline has been extended (thank goodness!!) to January 12th.
