If you know me or have been reading this blog for a good amount of time, you'll know that I love to try out all sorts of new crafts. The main reason I am doing this is because I want to find my banjo. What does that mean? Watch the clip below, to see what I'm talking about.
The amazing Eddie Izzard
Finding your banjo is finding that one thing that you are inherently good at. The one craft or talent that you can just pick up and be a master in seconds. I know my banjo is not: a musical instrument, scrapbooking, drawing (damn it!), writing, cosmetology, cooking, and a bunch of other things! The ones I listed are things that I'm terrible at, but there are so many things where I am just mediocre.
My mother has found her banjo with her bead work, my sister Kandi's banjo is card making, and Jennifer O's banjo is paper piecing. No matter what, I'm going to keep looking for my banjo. If you know your banjo - what is it? If you haven't found yours, keep looking!
